Project of school in Bawzan
Over the next week, we will begin with installation of the electricity distribution system and water tanks.
Please, get acquainted with the town of Bawzan:
Bawzan is a town in northern Iraq, which is one of the few places, where the Yazidi community still lives and forms predominant part of population. It is located in the Ninewah Province, about two kilometers east of the predominantly Christian Alqosh and about fifty kilometers north of Mosul. There are no historical records when the town was created; due to the frequent attacks on the town and the Yazidi and Assyriac populations, there are no documents preserved. What may be of interest for a visitor is the local cemetery, which is supposed to have been created before Christ. The town of Bawzan enjoys great popularity throughout the entire Yazidi community and is one of the most visited places following the Lalish Temple and village.
